Subjects

The database has over 3000 subjects. In addition to subjects you expect to find, the Picture Book Database also has many unique subject headings created to help you find books with special attributes, such as

• Based on actual events
• Celebrity authors
• Green movement
• Movie adaptations (picture books made into movies)
• Poetic forms
• Recipes
• Wants and needs
• Familiar folk literature variants (Cinderella, Rapunzel, etc.)
• Alphabet books by type (potpourri, story, theme)

NOTE: People are listed by first name in subject index. For example, see "A" for Amelia Earhart and "F" for Franklin D. Roosevelt.
